We want to hear everything...

Every school has the "smart kid" — that one person who both teachers and fellow students alike realize is destined for a bright future. However, just because someone is highly intelligent doesn't mean their future is set in stone...

Which is why I'm asking older adults: What happened to the "smart kid" in your class? How did they change (or perhaps not change) as an adult?

Feel free to tell us about your school's smart kid using this anonymous form!

Maybe they continued down their path of academic success and now hold an influential job. Perhaps they started a career in education or politics, launched a business, or even shocked everyone by becoming super famous.

Did they graduate and simply decide to live a "normal" life? Perhaps they settled down quickly and surprised everyone by choosing a career in a non-academic field.

Maybe the academic pressure from both teachers and parents eventually got to them, causing them to burn out or turn to a harmful lifestyle.

Or perhaps their life has been a rollercoaster of shocking highs and lows.

No matter what happened, we want to know their story! So that's why we're asking people over 50: How did your school's "smart kid" turn out later in life? Tell us in the comments or answer anonymously using the form below. Your response could be featured in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post.
